Offline fingerprint inspection function description
1) Set the Machine Number:
You can assign a unique machine number to the fingerprint scanner, ranging from 1 to 255. This helps in distinguishing and analyzing patrol records from different devices during backend data processing. Setting an appropriate machine number ensures accurate tracking and management of inspection activities.
2) Set Management Fingerprint:
When accessing the system setup interface, the system will prompt for verification using the management fingerprint. If it hasn't been set yet, you can press the "ENT" key to configure it. Alternatively, pressing "F1" allows you to skip this step temporarily. Only one management fingerprint is allowed per device, ensuring secure access control.
3) Other Function Settings:
Additional settings include options such as enforcing strict inspection order, enabling multi-fingerprint verification, and other operational parameters. These features allow for more flexible and secure management of patrol processes based on user requirements.
4) Registered Patrol Points:
Patrol points must be downloaded to the device via the backend management software after being configured. You can also register temporary inspection points by first entering a valid number and then scanning the location. The system supports batch registration for efficiency when setting up multiple points.
5) Registering Fingerprints:
All personnel fingerprints can be registered using a handheld device and later uploaded to a computer. Once registered, the fingerprint data along with the name and ID of the inspector are transferred to the corresponding fingerprint inspection device. To register a fingerprint, enter a valid personal number first, then capture the live fingerprint. Batch registration is supported for faster data input.
6) Data Communication:
During data communication, the patrol unit will wait for the upload process to complete. The inspection device should be connected to the computer via a data cable, and all relevant data will be uploaded through the background management software. Press the [F1] key to exit the communication mode if needed.
7) Modify Date and Time:
You can manually adjust the local date and time on the patrol device. If the time is incorrect, you can correct it directly here or disable this feature and make changes through the backend software. Selecting the “Also modify date/time†option during data communication will synchronize the device clock automatically.
8) System Initialization:
To prevent accidental system reset, the initialization menu is not shown in the standard settings. To perform a system reset, the operator must press the “C†key, enter a security password, and verify the management fingerprint before proceeding. This ensures that only authorized personnel can perform critical operations.
