The future of green building materials is huge

On the 12th to the 13th of this month, the Central Urbanization Working Conference was held in Beijing. The meeting called for advancing the "people-oriented" core of urbanization and orderly realization of citizenization as the primary task, and adhere to the green cycle of low-carbon development. The meeting discussed the improvement of the National New Urbanization Plan and put forward six tasks: promote the urbanization of the agricultural professional population, increase the use efficiency of urban construction land, establish a multi-level capital guarantee system, optimize the layout and form of urbanization, and improve the township The level of construction and strengthening of urbanization management.

Qiu Han, a researcher of economic consulting at the China Economics Consulting Group, pointed out that China's urbanization construction follows four main investment lines: second- and third-tier cities' real estate, urban rail transit, smart cities, environmental protection, and vigorous promotion of infrastructure projects. The conference emphasized "people-oriented" and "new-type urbanization construction", which shows that the development of urbanization shifts from focusing on "quantity" to focusing on "quality" development. Combined with the current industrial structure upgrading and transformation and energy conservation and environmental protection requirements, green building materials have great potential for development. Will exceed traditional building materials.

In the process of urbanization, China’s environmental problems have become increasingly prominent, and “environmental protection” has become a focus of attention for the “new urbanization” construction. At present, China’s building energy consumption accounts for about 30% of the total energy consumption of the entire society. In addition, the production energy consumption of building materials is 13%, the total building energy consumption exceeds the total energy consumption of the entire society by 40%, and huge building energy consumption has become huge in urbanization. Burden, the implementation of green building materials is imperative.

The "2013-2015 Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Investment Analysis and Trend Forecast Report of China's Building Materials Industry" issued by CSC Economic Consulting pointed out that the overall development level of China's green building materials market is relatively poor, and the green building materials market has not yet formed a production, sales, or service " One-stop "supporting the market system", the proportion of green building materials in the entire building materials market is very small. At present, the promotion of green building materials in China mainly involves the following problems: First, there is a lack of corresponding mandatory legal provisions; Second, in the field of building energy conservation, there is a lack of uniform and tangible practical implementation measures; Third, the lack of effective Administrative supervision system; Fourth, lack of policy support for relevant energy-saving building materials industry.

Qiu Han proposed that in order to accelerate the development of China's green building materials, we must first clarify the green building materials standard system and the corresponding certification methods. Second, accelerate the upgrading of the industry. At present, China's traditional building materials such as steel, cement, glass and Other excess capacity, backward production technology, excessive capital investment, is not conducive to the development and promotion of green building materials. Finally, increase the support of green building materials companies, as China's green building materials are still in the initial stage of development, and need to invest more research and development funds, the state should give certain policies and financial support. Since the beginning of this year, China’s investment in environmental protection funds has continued to increase, and green building materials may benefit from it.

In the next three years, China's new green buildings will reach 1 billion square meters. By the end of 2015, 20% of new urban buildings will meet the green building standards. Green building materials have become an inevitable choice for the transformation and upgrading of the building materials industry and the implementation of the national strategy for environmental protection and energy conservation. There is huge room for future development.
