According to statistics, since the 1990s, the number of people in the Spring Festival has increased by an average of 5.6% annually, and in recent years it has been close to 10%. The annual net growth has reached 200 million person-times. Last year, the total traffic volume was 2.895 billion person-times.

Liu Tienan analyzed that there are three major features of the Spring Festival this year: First, the passenger flow is large and highly concentrated. It is estimated that passenger traffic will reach 3.158 billion person-times this year, an increase of 9.1% over the previous year, a record high. And because New Year's Day, the Spring Festival are closer, passenger traffic will be highly concentrated before the holiday. Second, the distribution of regional passenger flow is not balanced. Pre-holiday passenger traffic in Beijing, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta is large. After the holidays, Sichuan, Chongqing, Henan, and Hunan are places with high passenger pressure. Third, the Spring Festival is the coldest period of the year, and it is prone to natural disasters such as freezing rain, snow, and freezing.

Wang Dexue, deputy director of the State Administration of Work Safety, stated at the news conference of the Spring Festival Press held by the State Council Information Office on the 8th that at present, all passenger vehicles carrying the Spring Festival mission have installed a dynamic monitoring system to realize the dynamics of passenger cars and their drivers during operation.
