I. Overview

Residual stress is an undesired stress associated with the workpiece manufacturing process. Residual stresses generated during casting, forging, welding, etc., cause the workpiece to be severely deformed and cannot be used or affect its inherent performance. In addition, the workpiece is directly cracked, causing serious accidents. The method of eliminating residual stress is usually solved by aging treatment. The traditional aging method is natural aging and thermal aging. Due to the long natural aging period, it causes a large amount of capital and is rarely used. The thermal aging has high energy consumption and high environmental pollution, and it has serious effects on the environment. It also needs to invest more funds, and it is not a desirable stress-relief method. It does not meet the current development direction of energy conservation and environmental protection. Vibration aging is born in this context. In the current financial crisis, enterprises are facing a shortage of funds and facing the depletion of petrochemical energy. All countries in the world have formulated various environmental protection policies and measures, and the call for energy conservation and emission reduction is higher than the waves.
