Shishi, known for its strong manufacturing base, has increasingly embraced industrial robots as a key driver of modernization. In sectors such as clothing, hardware, and injection molding, robots have already been implemented with impressive results. Their integration has not only improved efficiency but also set new standards for production quality and consistency.

One notable example is a watch manufacturer that uses six injection molding machines to produce clock casings. This company has adopted a high number of plastic injection robots, demonstrating the scale of automation in the local electronics industry. As a result, the adoption rate of industrial robots in Shishi's electronics sector has been rising rapidly.

While the use of industrial robots in the garment industry is still in its early stages, recent advancements are promising. Traditionally, fabric spreading required 2–3 workers to manually arrange up to 50–200 layers of fabric, a labor-intensive and time-consuming process. However, the spreading robot developed by the Casual Pants Technology Center has significantly improved this process, especially for high-count and high-density fabrics. Designed to adapt to both woven and knitted materials, this innovation is well-suited for Shishi’s casual trousers industry, which relies heavily on stretch fabrics. Industry estimates suggest a demand for around 1,000 such robots in the slacks sector alone.

The die-casting hardware industry in Shishi has also shown strong interest in automation. Currently, industrial robots are primarily used for part retrieval and material handling in hot chamber die-casting processes. By integrating these tasks, the production workflow has become more efficient, reducing labor costs and improving productivity. While polishing robots are still in the trial phase, their potential is being closely monitored. Out of 10 lines in the hardware industry, nine are now operated by robots, with just one line remaining manually managed.

The most immediate benefit of adopting industrial robots in Shishi companies is addressing labor shortages on the production floor. Beyond that, they bring additional advantages such as enhanced product quality, increased efficiency, and streamlined operations. Many enterprises report that the cost of implementing robots can be recouped within a year due to reduced labor expenses and improved performance.
