How Paint Adhesion Detects What Affects Paint Adhesion

<

In the process of renovation, the paint process will naturally be indispensable. When we carry out this process, we sometimes have problems with uneven paint and difficult to paint. These are all caused by insufficient adhesion of paint . We will then look at it together. See related content.

Paint adhesion standard

1.OB grade is ISO grade 5 = ASTM grade, this grade is the worst grade of paint in the paint, because if it appears this it's shedding area will be greater than 65%.

2.1B grade is ISO grade 4 = ASTM grade, from the song test method to see this level of the smaller area is between 35% -65%, the quality of the film is not very good.

3.2B grade is ISO grade 3 = ASTM grade, this standard represents that the paint will fall off along the edge of the incision in a large area or part, and even some grid parts will be peeled off as a whole, and the area will exceed 15%-35%.

4. The 3B level is the ISO level 2 = ASTM level. The smaller the area in front of the general B is, the smaller the shedding area is, and the peeling area at the edges of the representative cuts and intersections is greater than 5%-15%.

5. 4B grade is ISO grade 1 = ASTM grade, this kind of paint adhesion is relatively good, only the intersection of the small pieces of paint peeling at the intersection, the actual damage in the grid area is less than or equal to 5%.

6. The last level, which is the ISO level 0 = ASTM level, also called 5B, is the highest level of adhesion, which means that the edge of the cut is completely smooth and there is no peeling of the edge of the lattice.

Paint adhesion test method

1. First, use an artist blade or a cross-cutter to draw the shape of a cross grid on the paint coating. Horizontally and vertically, draw a knife and form a hundred small squares. The grid is 1mm×1mm. The cuts of the spacers should go to the bottom of the paint.

2. Brush each brush five or six times in the direction of the diagonal with a brush, and brush the small pieces clean. Apply tape to the incision and pull open. The adhesive force of the tape is 350-400 g/m2.

3, finally use a magnifying glass to observe the situation of the grid area.

4, test results see paint adhesion test standards.

Factors affecting paint adhesion

1. The substrate is not ready enough to remove rust, grease, moisture, or proper grinding.

2. The use of unsuitable substrates resulted in some parts of the paint system not being compatible and incompatible.

3. The drying time is too short.
