China's basic research in nanotechnology enters the world's first

<

China has entered the world's advanced ranks in basic research on nanotechnology. This is the information obtained by the reporter from the 8th China International Nanotechnology Symposium held at Xiangtan University from the 24th to the 26th. More than 600 experts and scholars from the United States, Germany, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Iran and China participated in this high-profile seminar. Experts called on countries to strengthen cooperation and work together to further develop nano-application technology.
In recent years, China has attached great importance to the basic research of nanotechnology and issued the "National Nanotechnology Development Program". Nanotechnology research and development has been included in various major plans. Through the implementation of the "863 Program" and the "973 Program", nanomaterial preparation and nanotechnology research have achieved outstanding results, which has attracted international attention. A number of nanotechnology research and development centers, such as the National Nanoscience and Technology Center and the Key Laboratory of Nano Biotechnology, have been established. Shanghai, Xi'an, Dalian and other places have also established local nanotechnology R&D promotion centers. China also took the lead in releasing and implementing seven nanotechnology and product standards in the world in 2005, which has established China's leading position in nanotechnology and standards.
According to Prof. Zhong Jianxin, the Minister of Education and the Dean of the School of Materials and Optoelectronic Physics of Xiangtan University, compared with basic research, applied research is still in its infancy in the world, and the gap between applied research and the world's advanced countries. Still relatively large. Experts called on countries to strengthen cooperation in this regard. At the meeting, delegates discussed the preparation technology, performance research and application of nanomaterials, the physical properties of metal and inorganic non-metallic materials and their applications, and also held the "special academic lectures" and " Main activities such as the Industry-University-Research and Mutual Exchange Conference, the Nanotechnology Products Exhibition, and the Research Results Poster. Authorities believe that the seminar will help promote the development of nano-application research in China and further expand the application of nanotechnology in energy, Environmental Protection and medicine.
The conference was co-sponsored by China Micron Nanotechnology Society and IEEE-NTC, and sponsored by Xiangtan University and other units.
